SAFETY TIPS AND REPORTING A GAS LEAK

To report a gas leak, call GCGD 334-684-2284 (Mon. - Fri.) 7am to 4pm or call 911 after hours & weekends.

If you are inside and identify a gas leak: Avoid operating anything electrical (light switches, fans, phones, etc.)

1) Evacuate the building leaving doors open
2) Call from outside or neighbor's house,
never from inside!

If outside and identify a gas leak, avoid the area and call Geneva County Gas District:

334-684-2284 or call 911

SAFETY TIPS ON DIGGING:

Call 811. It is a free service that contacts all utility operators in your area to mark your lines. So, if you plan on digging or someone digging for you, give 811 a call.

It’s Easy… It’s Free… It’s the Law… Safe Digging is Smart Digging.
